Our Jam Story
Laena grew up making jam with her family in New York's Hudson Valley. In 2002, she began experimenting with creative flavor combinations. When she was 24 years old, she developed a unique cooking technique that preserved the flavors and texture of fresh fruit -- she told her jam fans it was so good, it was like "anarchy in a jar". She founded the company in 2009, under the dogma of intense fruit flavor, lower sugar, cool flavors, creative ingredients, sustainable materials, and responsible sourcing. Anarchy in a Jar continues to produce jam, preserves, chutney and marmalade under the same mantra. Jam on.
