Warrior tea: ginger, honey, turmeric, lemon
Oh January. Everyone is sick. Keep your immune system primed and healthy with this tea! Double, triple, or quadruple the recipe as needed.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup water, preferably filtered
2 tablespoons honey
1 lemon, squeezed
1 big thumb size piece of ginger, grated
1-inch piece fresh turmeric or 1 teaspoon powder
EQUIPMENT
Medium saucepan
Strainer, fine mesh or tea
Grater
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the water, grated ginger, turmeric, honey in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until hot, and let it low simmer 30 minutes.
Add the lemon and warm 5 minutes.
Drink up!
Cool and store: Let the tea cool to room temperature before storing.
RECIPE NOTES
Storage: Store it in a glass container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
