Anarchy in an Ice Cream Sundae
Have you heard of the new summer sweet spot Steve's Ice Cream? It's awesome and we're very lucky to be served on their sundaes. Steve’s is an ice cream brand that originated in Massachusetts with mix-in guru Steve Herrell, but is now based out of Long Island and run by a really nice crew of people. The stuff is all-natural, uses local ingredients, and tastes fantastic. With flavors like Brooklyn Blackout, Blackberry Honey, Kombucha, and Strawberry Ricotta (the with Salvatore ladies cheese, rockin'), I really like that they're creative with their combinations but not gross.
They're using Easy Like Sunday Morning in a sundae, plus they have a new Hot n' Fluffy Sundae with Strawberry Ricotta ice cream topped with Ovenly's Lemon Fluff, ScratchBread's shorty shortcake, Mike's Hot Honey and our Pickled Strawberries. Holy mackerel! Can't wait to try it!
Steve's has two locations, one near Bryant Park at 4 East 42nd St. that's in soft opening and one planed for August in Boerum Hill at 420 Atlantic Ave.
